This was a very dilapidated but grand property in central Ealing, which had been subdivided into five HMO studio flats.
We developed a comprehensive refurbishment and restoration scheme to return the property to its original use as a large single-family home, while carefully enhancing and restoring its architectural character.
The basement floor was lowered, with the structural walls underpinned and fully waterproofed, creating a spacious, open and naturally light main living area and kitchen.
The lower ground floor was extended with a substantial rear extension, designed with traditional architectural detailing to complement the original property. Timber sash windows and doors were incorporated to maintain the character and proportions of the existing house.
